What is the source of the video that is suffering the sync problem?
Is it footage captured via firewire from a DV cam? If so then
that is almost unheard of. (Firewire digitally delivers A/V as
a tight package)
Is it vid footage captured via analog imputs? (If so, which type
of connection are you using? How efficient is your PC? etc)
Is it capture via an external USB device such as the awful budget
Dazzle things?
Can you make a correlation with any "glitches" in the video? -
This is termed "frame drop", though the capture signal isn't
actually make up of frames, it is a very brief hiccup to the video
signal whilst the audio signal remains undisturbed.
Could you supply some more details?
