My movie is finished except for the audio, I Have imported and placed the
song of my choice in the timeline but when I click play no sound is heard. Am
I missing a step? While it is playing, if I click on a random part of the
movie or clip, I will then hear sound but it won't work from the very
beginning when I push play.

Does your timeline show the audio as starting at the beginning of the 1st
clip?

Yes it is. Is this wrong? I saw nothing in the help topics about it.......Where should I start my audio clip? Thanks for the reply / help.

No it isn't wrong. That's where it should be if you want it playing right at
the start of your movie.
There is something else wrong. But since you do hear it when you advance
your movie I would suggest creating it and see if the audio works properly
then, could simply be a problem with the MP3 or whatever format audio file
your importing.

Well, I don't know what else to try....Is there only one format that will
work as far as audio goes?
Thanks for your help.

No there's many. I usually use MP3 even though there is supposedly a problem
with MP3's working (I've never had any such problems) but WMA, WAV all the
most popular format's are supported.
Maybe your next step should be to try to convert the audio file to another
format.
But 1st have you tried importing a different audio clip to see if you still
have the same problems?
Because it could actually be the video clip or picture at the beginning
somehow causing the problem.
