I want to use an audio quiz which I have prepared. My problem is that I
cannot hear when the clip finishes because I am deafened! The audience can
hear - but it doesn't look very professional to have to say 'can you tell me
when it finishes please?' - can I put in a visual alert at the end of clips?

I tjhink so
First you have to know how long takes your clip (min+sec)
Then draw a thin horizontal rectangle on your slide for example greeen to
red
Put an animation/closing/sweeping from left to right/WITH/
Double click on this animation and in the Time Tab, for speed, put the exact
duration of the clip.

An other idea following Steve's one : draw a black rectangle that comes over
the whole slide instead of a very small one and choose a nice opening effect
after previous (the sound starts first of course)
