Just started looking at this cd ripper. So far looks good. Good or bad
comments from others that have used it? What little ripping I've done I've
always used CDex.

I have AudioGrabber on our old W98SE system- I paid for it long before it
became freeware and before I knew about CDex. It has always worked just
great for me. On our new XP Home system, I've installed CDex and it also
works just great. I see no need to have both ripping programs on the same
computer though. If you are happy with what you are using, as I am on both
of my computers, then I'd recommend you just stick with what you've already
got. Why mess with success?

Regards,
Ian.

I like to have a couple choices listed for various freewares and ripping is
something I rarely do, yet is a popular software lots of people seek out. I
know of EAC and Audacity listed at PW, but am curious of Audio Ripper as it
was recommended to me to be listed at FW4U. I googled the group first to
see what had been posted in the past of audio grabber but there were only
2-3 kind of recent posts that I saw. Thanks for the reply. :)

Stay with CDex, it's far more better that Audio Grabber both in features
and in ripping (using paranoia library).

And if you want the best, then use Exact Audio Copy.

Rip twice and compare the MD5 checksums. If they match you know you have
a perfect copy of the CD (no matter what ripper you use).
