audio glitches??

I have successfully edited DV video with Moviemaker 2.1 before and then
opened the high resolution AVI in other editors to edit the Audio...all of a
sudden the audio files create errors and are truncated in my other
programs...so I have tried to work with the audio in MovieMaker itself (which
is not a pleasure by the way) and when I render the video it is coming out
with all kinds of pops and audio spikes that are not on the original. Any
advice?? Has anyone else had this problem? thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same problem. I capture my AVI's using MovieMaker, but
as soon as I add music and save a DV-AVI, the music will have all kinds of
issues, including repeating sections?

Hi,

Just a couple of ideas that may help. If you are importing audio files into
MM2, they should be imported as .wav file. The MP3 compression doesn't edit
very well in MM2. Also, if you are using audio fade, sometimes a "pop" is
created at the very end of the fade in the DV-AVI save file. One way to fix
this is to bring your DV-AVI file back into MM2 as a new project, split and
mute the audio pop sounds out, and save again as DV-AVI. A little bit extra
time, but this method works.
