Audio Files Downloaded Save in wrong format

When I download MP3 files my PC automatically saves them
as MPGA. There is no option to change the save as type.

Since it saves as an MPGA I can't use it in my audio
players. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MPGA is not a known file extension for anything. have you tired renaming
the files to .MP3?

Does this happen from every site you download from?

Presumably the value under:
===
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\audio/mpeg
===
at value "Extension" is set to ".mpga" instead of ".mp3". If you switch it
back, it should work right.

It may not be that exact key (depending upon the MIME type the server is
sending down), but it's somewhere right around there, and the fix is
actually the same regardless of what key name has the Extension=.mpga
setting. :)
