I am troubleshooting an ibm netvista pc 300pl, using onboard sound, the
sound is enable in all locations that i can think of to check, however the
system still has no available audio, cannot run win media player, nor can
the system sounds be tested. When i open up control panel and select
multiamedia the entire audio portion is greyed out, as well the system
volume control/mixer device is not available/does not come up when clicked
on. The system is running win98se, i have tried downloading drivers that
supposedly are for this system from the ibm site, however these do not seem
to operate, any suggestions???
