What is the best way to convert audio files for use as a background to a
page? Audio files I have in windows media player do not work. (convert to
..wav format maybe?)

..wav is ok, but the main problem is you're looking at larger files
typically. mp3 is the best option as far as compression goes. It's a lot
smaller than a wav, sounds better than a .mid, and most people should have
an mp3 codec on theis system in this day and age.

There should be some free converters out there as well if you don't have
one. Check out tucows.com for some freeware ones, and www.sourceforge.net
for some open-source solutions.

Thanks...I'll give it a try.
