I'm having problems capturing audio along with my video inside of Windows
Movie Maker. I have a Sony HI-8 Handycam with composite (video, left audio,
right audio) and a Hauppage WinTV PVR MCE500 (2-tuner). I can capture video
just fine through WMM, but no audio comes across. I've tried all the audio
input choice it provides through the Hauppage to no avail.
Hauppage's web site even calls this problem out and points to an
"audioselect" utility on the install CD.

From their web site...

Controlling the audio source with Windows Movie Maker:
If you open Windows Movie Maker, and do not hear audio, browse your WinTV CD
rom, and within the MISC/UTILITY folder there is a utility called
"Audioselect". Run this program, which will allow you to select the audio
source(Line In). When the audioselect program is initialized, it will place
an icon on the system tray (next to the clock). Click on the "WinTV audio
select" icon on the tray, which will open the dialogue. Here is where you
will choose the source(ie. Line in)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But, there is no utility and I can't find it on their web site. Any one
else having similar issues? Anyone have the "audioselect" utility?
Thanks,
Steve C.
