I got new PC at christmas with an Audigy 2 zs soundcard. I want to connect
a Yamaha keyboard via midi but it appears that I need an ( optional ) midi
bracket. Where can I get one of these , or is there another way of
connecting ?
Is the midi input via the joystick port (header) as was
typically the case with motherboards?
If so, consult the manual or seek the pinout for the
joystick header, you may be able to use *any old* joystick
bracket dongle, regardless of whether it happens to have
other ports on same bracket (that you don't need). For

i believe Creative might have released what's called an "OEM
System Builder's Pack", you might hunt for one of those or
contact Creative. Another alternative is checking at local
mom-n-pop computer shops, they probably have a few sitting
in a mixed junk bin, if not also a few being thrown out with
old PCChip et al motherboard based systems.
