My PC crashed and I have installed windows XP SP2 again. Now audio is
distored (it runs too fast) with all applications like Windows Media Player,
Real Player, WIN DVD player, CD player. etc. What would solve this?

Post your question to a windows newsgroup like microsoft.public.windowsxp.
This is a .Net programming newsgroup.

I'm still telling you you're posting to the wrong group. This is not a
Windows group. This is a group for .Net Programming questions.

You need to post your question to a *Windows* newsgroup. Those are at the
bottom of the dropdown list on the Microsoft Discussion Group site.

if you can set the sync rate of your card or if you have a word sync or are
connected with a digital in, maybe the sync rate is not right. I experienced
the same behavior with my Delta sound card until I found those settings. you
are probably using a sync at 96Khz and playing 44Khz or 48Khz audio so it's
distorted... it may also be as subtle as a sync at 48Khz and playing 44Khz
audio which is a noticeable difference...

I hope it helps, but as RobinS said, you're in the wrong group...
