Well I'm some sort of muppet, I have installed the abit mbo in the antec
case and the poxy power supply lead is 24 pin, the mbo is 20 - I can
find plenty of adaptors for the other way round, but not for this.
Anyone got any ideas, I'm in the UK
cheers

Just plug it in. You may need to hack it up. The extra 4 pins will
remain unused and the other 20 are a pin for pin match with the old 20
pin standard.

well f*ck me, now I really should stick to network jobs. I did as you
said and as I was twisting the power cable about the additional 4 pins
separated from the connector, part of the design to cater for either I
guess. I'm sure the manual makes no mention of it though. Anyway thanks
a lot, it's appreciated :)

you spelled that wrong, there is no * in **** me. as a matter of fact, you
should use the proper phrase "well **** me dead".

I just sent two to a man in Thailand a few months back (bought them from
PCCaseGear.com here in Australia):

Are you using an Antec Power supply? the extra 4 pins on Antec supplies
unclip. I just added one to my windows system, unclipped the extra 4
pins, and plugged it right into the 20-pin motherboard connector on my
old-ish board.
