Just bought a p5ld2 is it ok to use a 480 psu with 20 pin plug
I will be running a 3.2 cpu 2meg cach-120 gig sata hd-geforce 6600gt
vid card

Yes, as long as you don't use a lot of high power devices such as
the video card, lots of gans, hard drives, etc. Your 6600GT card
doesn't draw to much current so you are safe.
