I just received an email from some unreachable person
claiming to be a Microsoft Business Partner. It has an
attachment "September 2003, Cumulative Patch" called
upgrade911.exe. I checked on Microsoft's IE upgrade page
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp and it
does not EXIST!

I do not know how to directly contact MS, they have lots
of contact points but no one appears to answer the email.

Several virus use MS name, pretending to be MS patches...
those "patches" shouldn't be opened as of course it is worms.
It has nothing to see with MS which never send patches by email.
I don't see the interest to contact MS who knows that some virus use
their name but of course cannot do anything about that... except of
course if they can get the one(s) who make(s) that virus.

You did well. Do not open these messages. It's a virus.

If you get too many of them create a OE message rule to handle it, remove
from the server of send then to a folder color it RED.

Thanks for all the responses. I never open any strange
emails. Even now I still find it hard to accept people
would want to do harm to others just to do it.
