Hi John,

I was wondering whether you could post the translated help file you created.
I'm sure others here would also find it extremely useful give that
PhotoFiltre is one of those freeware gems!

Thanks for making the translation :-)

Jane, I'm afraid that without the program author's permission, that
would be very inappropriate. After all, the two files are part of the
program. I've submitted the main help file to Antonio Da Cruz, the
program author, and it's up to him as to whether or not my translation
of that file meets his approval. He hasn't gotten back to me on that yet.
On the other hand, I did also finish translating the PhotoMasque
filter plugin help file today, but I'm waiting for Antonio to tell me
that he wants me to send it to him (I emailed him that I'd finished
that translation also, yesterday I sent him the main help file).
Sending unannounced file attachments via email to strangers is not a
way to make friends, so I wait until he tells me that he wants me to
send a file.

Fred,
Heh. There is more to language translation than a mere word for
word conversion, although that's one of the tools you need to use in
addition to an online translation service.
But how would you feel if you wrote a program and somebody started
circulating modified versions of some of its files without asking you?
Outside of that being just plain rude, it's a violation of most EULAs.
That's why I've sent the files to Antonio for his approval. And now
there's good I just got a reply from him and he wants to include
my translations in the English version of the program. So maybe look
for it in version 5.5 or sooner?
