I am unable to get a readable document when I download an e-mail attachment. I get multiple pages of random caracters and letters. I am using lycos as my provider. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?

Greetings --

You have to open the attachment using an application that's
specific designed to handle the type of file you've received. Ask the
sender what program was used to create the file, and then install it,
or something compatible, on your PC.

What type documents are these? If they are Word, Excel, WordPerfect, etc.
you must have a program installed that will read them.
