Attacked through the registry?

Whenever I reboot, my IE homepage changes from the one I set through IE.
Should I look for a script that runs when I boot the computer or a registry
setting?

The problem was caused by CWS.Alfasearch. Running a variety of hijack
software helped until reboot. After rebooting the problem returned. I had to
kill WINLOGON.exe via task manager and then delete it altogether. This
returned control of my computer to me. It sounds like the Outer Limits.
