Everytime I try to open an attachment it brings up notepad with alot of
writting in it.
It does the same thing when I try and open anything from Kellys Korner. Can
any one help.I tried to restore my pc back but that didn't help. I used to be
able to open my attachments.

What happen if you right click it and select open with and select the
Application you want to launch it with!

Or try this:
Fix File Associations.
