Many times I am unable to open some attachment to e-mails and a sign appears
asking me to create an outbox, what does this mean and what can I do?

You should *always* save your attachments someplace before opening them.
Do not open them directly from your email.

Too many times I have to go help someone when they do this - because it does
it in the temporary areas and they end up just saving it without looking at
the awful path it put it at.

What does that have to do with your problem?
Well - it could be nothing or it could be everything.

What happens if you *save* the attachment and then try to open it?
What type of files are these?
Do you have the application needed to open said type of file?
Can you give us the exact error message?
