I have forwarded an e-mail from a MSN internet subscriber
to myself, an AOL subscriber. The e'mail has an
attachment with an e-mail extension. This attachment is
what I'm after. After downloading the thing my Acrobat
Reader 5.0 gives me an error messege like "this file is
corrupted and can not be opened". I got onto AOL tech
help and he said that the file was generated by MS
Outlook (which I also have) and is not supported by AOL.
This is very confussing to me as the originator of the
original e-mail is also an AOL subscriber. How can I get
this thing to open as obviously the thing works on AOL as
my friend would not have it working either. I hope I'm
saying this correctly. Your help would be great.

I'm confused - someone sends you mail from MSN to your AOL account, and the
AOL tech says that Outlook is the problem? Are you *using* Outlook with a
third party add in to check your AOL mail? If not, I don't see how this can
have anything to do with Outlook at all. What is the attachment file
extension? Adobe uses .pdf
