attachments not being allowed

please help I am stumped,

I have just got XP on my new PC and was using ME on my old PC, I have used
the same email address and have no problems sending attachments but every
time I get an attachment it blocks them.

it comes up as "OE has denied access to unsafe attachment", I never had this
on ME and the attachments are from my girlfriend so I know they are safe.
can anyone help I can not find where to change to settings to allow
attachments

Goto Tools, Options
Then goto the Security tab
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus"
