Hi,
I hope someone can help me out there. My question is on
attachments in an email message. When I try to extract
attachments from a mail message where there are pictures
in the backgroud, those pictures also come out as
attachments? I don't want this, I only want the 'true'
attachments.

When you right click one of these emails and click
on 'View Attachments', this lists the 'true' attachments,
but programmatically, I get all the other garbage.

Is there anyway I can just get the true attachments?

Thanks Heaps

They are all true attachments. You must separate the ones you want
from those you don't want, just like Outlook does under the hood.

Thanks for the reply Ken,
Any ideas on how to seperate them out? so just say I
have a background image on the background of an email
(jpeg for example), but I also I have a jpeg 'true'
attachment, how would I know which was which to seperate
out?

Thanks for your help

I'm not sure about that, I don't do very much with stationery.

What I would do is use OutlookSpy (www.dimastr.com) and look at the
properties and attachment tables for some items with legitimate jpg
attachments, some with stationery and some with both to see what
differences there might be.
