I posted this message earlier but it's vanished

I have successfully mail merged with attachments in Outlook XP but today did my first in Outlook 2003 and at step 6 in the procedure, Mrege: electronic mail, I needed to set the format to attachment rather than HTML but then I had to say yes, yes as Outlook warned me that a program was using my email to send messages ... and it could be a virus

How do I send a mail merged email address to my usual list of contacts as contained in an Excel file that is perfectly normal

I hope this is clear for everyone and thanks for any help anyone can offer

Duncan

It's your choice:

-- Send as HTML and get no prompt.
-- Send as attachment and get a security prompt.
-- Use a tool to click the security prompt -- see
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm#autosec
-- Use a third-party tool that avoids security prompts. See
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#massmail

Thanks Sue and I suppose that's not what I was hoping to read. Since I receive dozens of spam and viral messages a week in my main email account, I really can see the need to set up security within Outlook ... but when I KNOW that what I am doing is legitimate and free of all problems, it's frustrating

This is the price we have to pay for the baseball cap, hooded top and roadsweeper wearing boy racers who think it's really cool to make a mess of everyone else's lives

I am the only person on my laptop who will ever do what I want to do but I see that the pages you've sent me to don't refer to Office 2003 so I am unsure about how to take control of the security settings myself. Any up to date tips Sue

Thank

Duncan

The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote earlier
messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on detail about
the actual problem that I have no idea what information you're looking for.
Please take the time to quote the original message.

The only thing I can tell you is that mail merge in OL2003 works the same as
in OL2002.
