Attachment Woes

Hi,

On some messages I receive they are not shown as containing attachments
either by the little paperclip icon in the inbox or in the header visible.
However, I know that there is an attachment as the size of the message
suggests this (they are all sent from a trusted source).

When I preview the item and use File.........save attachments.......then it
is shown as "none". However, if I open the message and do the same then I
can see the attachment and save it to a directory of my choosing.

Furthermore if I forward the item then the header of the forwarded message
(before being sent) shows the attachment!

Any ideas? I'm baffled.

Sorry should have said it is outlook 2002 and I have no level 1 restricted
attachment extensions.

Thanks

Generally it's Lotus Notes (I think 5) via pop.

Thanks

Do you know what program is sending the attachments? Are you using pop or
exchange server?

We are having the same problem. Most of the messages with
attachments seem to be initiated by users with Macs, and
our Outlook pc clients don't see the attachments. If we
reply or forward the message the attachment is visible.
I'm using Outlook 2002 and am getting my mail from a
small Exchange box running 5.5.

Thanks for any help you can give!
