Attachment Size Adjustments?

Can anyone tell my how to adjust the size of my attachments. The attachments
used to open in a smaller square configuration and now they open in a
verticle rectangle. I can maximize or drag the box to change the size. I
shouldn't have to every time one opens. It never used to open this way. I
could view the attachment in a sqaure configuration and maximize it if I
wanted a closer look at the attachment. Anyone?

You seem to be discribing a 'thumbnail' of the attachment. I would look at
the Options of your mail reader for 'thumbnail' and 'attachment' settings.
