Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the attachment icons to print when I print a
mail message in "memo style". What is weird is that when I display the
message in "print preview", the attachment icons are displayed. But
when I click on "print", the message prints without the attachment
icons displaying.

I tried creating a copy of "memo style", thinking that the "memo style"
that I was using was somehow modified, but that didn't do anything.
Also, this phenomenon is not consistent, since in some cases the
attachment icon DOES print. It seems that the file type of the
attachment may be a factor.

Is there some place where you can specifically DEFINE that the
attachment icon is supposed to print in "memo style"?

Is the property dictating whether or not the attachment icon prints
associated with the individual message?

This is Outlook 2000 running on either XP XP2, or Windows 98.

Thanks for your help.

According to Microsoft document 872839, this problem is fixed in Office
2003 SP 1. That appears to be a lie, because I also have Office 2003
SP2 and the stupid HTML attachment icons STILL don't print if the
message is in HTML format.

We get about a hundred messages a day in HTML format, and we're
supposed to go in and "edit message" each one just so that the stupid
attachment icon shows up???

This appears to be one of the DUMBEST and most annoying glitches I have
come across yet, in the long and glorious history of stupid Microsoft
tricks. What possible reason is there that attachment icons should not
appear if the message is in HTML format???

Excuse my fumes, but this is just really, really stupid.

I am having the same issue. I don't want to print the attachment, I just want
to be able to see what attachments have been sent with an email. So when I
print a copy of an emaill I can see the attchment icons.
