Attaching to mail

WHen I use the "File - Send To - Attachment" function, I
can't get Excel to use my Outlook Express. Where and how
do I do to set this up?

Do you get a different email client?

If yes, you can change your default mail client via
windows start button|settings|control panel|internet Options applet|
Programs tab

(You can also get to this dialog via MSIE.
Tools|Internet Options|program tab
 
This is set for Outlook Express, that is why I am
confused. I'm using window 98 if that matters.

When I try to do the attachment using the built in Excel
function, I get the Microsoft Messenger as my only choice.
 
Try to re-register Excel

Close Excel first and
On the Windows Taskbar

1 ) Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
(unregserver is not always needed)
2) Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.
In that case Start>Run "C:\yourpath\excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
 
If Ron's suggestion doesn't work, try changing your email client to something
else, then change it back.

It might wake up your settings.
