Hope somebody can help me with this one.
We use Outlook 2000 throughout our organisation. A couple of clients have
Outlook 2002. Now we've been using shortcuts extensively in emails. By
'shortcut' I mean attaching a file as a shortcut, so if I've been working on
a document - I can attach a link so that people can review the same document
without a million versions sitting in everybody's mail boxes.
Outlook 2002 doesn't seem to allow this in any shape or form. The option
isn't even on the dropdown next to the 'insert' button on the 'Insert File'
dialog box - and even if I go to the trouble of making a shortcut manually
and inserting it, it is blocked.
Anyone else frustrated by this? I'm sure its a 'security' feature of some
sort - but hey, this is the only decent way of pointing someone to a
document within the companies filing structure - isn't it???
Any help or advice greatfully received!!
Thanks
Tim
