A csutomer sent me an MDB file that I needed to check immediately but I was
surprised to see Outlook blocked it and I can't get hold of it.
I have Windows XP with Office 2003 and Outlook is configured to use POP3
with messages stored in a localized PST file. A fairly normal setting I would
say.
Outlook Express can easily be configured to allow attachements but for
Outlook it is very complicated. I found an article on the topic:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011364471033.aspx
It involves downloading four files from a Resource Kit and editing the
registry, but even this will not work if Outlook uses an PST file !!!!!
This drives med crazy.
If I can't get hold of my files soon I will find some decent Open Source
alternative and erase Outlook forever from my computer.
Is it possible to find a way out of this security stupidity?
Can someone give me a hint on where the files are hidden?
I thought they were hidden in a hashed directory somewhere, but this is not
the case ....
