Res.All,
I have got an excel file with macro in it attached to a mdb file. It can
be opened in both the computers. Now in one computer I can edit the excel
attached table while in other I could not. Why so?

Please help.
Sorry for taking your time,

Yours
Prashant

Hi Prashant,

I can think of one situation that might produce this. It would mean one
computer having Office 2003 Service Pack 2 or Office XP with the latest
updates, while the other does not have these recent updates. In that
case, the "older" software would allow you to update data in Excel via a
linked table - a feature which has been disabled by the latest updates.
See http://support.microsoft.com/?id=904953 for an unsatisfactory
explanation.

If that's not the answer, please post back with much more information
about the situation.

Res.Mr.John,
I thank you very much for the answer. I will look into the matter deeply
and will update the patches as needed.

Thanking you once again
Yours
Prashant
