ATI's 3Dc: what, exactly is it, and how do you enable it?

There's a blurb on the side of my x850XT box on the features of the X850XT
and one of them is: 3Dc technology. Is it even for gaming?
I've never seen anything in the Catalyst Control Panel about 3Dc.
