ATI2DVAG error!

I'm getting these bsod messages with many DirectX games like Morrowind, nfsU
and sometimes Fs2002. However OpenGL works fine, like UFO aftermath and UT.
It happens often when i'm into like 2-5min of play, they the game freezes
for a moment, and then bsod. Error says something that ati2dvag is causing
this error.


No virus controll or any other progs running. happens too often. I'm only
marginally oc'ing my card, to 255/250 (from 250/250), and oh using Cat4.2.
Can be a faulty card?


My system: Hercules Radeon8500LE 64mb, dx9.0b, WinXP sp1, Athlon1900+, 512
sdram pc133 on Abit Kt7a.
 
I really need some help with this one. EVERY D3D game crashes about 4-10min
into the game giving BSOD saying HARDWARE MALFUNCTION. If I run game in a
window, It crashes with BSOD saying ati2dvag is causing error.

stop overclocking and tell us what happens, did this happen with previous
drivers?
newer does not equal better, if it aint broke dont fix it.
