BlueScreen faults ati2dvag.dll and driver.

Driver is RADEON IGP 340M

Compaq's latest update is year 2004. Which I have on my Compaq Notebook
Presario 2190US.

When I go to the ATI site, the closest Update I can find to match mine is a
RADEON X300. When I attempt to download that the message reads: "It is not
compatibity and please go to your notebook manufacturers site for an update."

I wish I knew a link to download an update for my Driver RADEON IGP 340M??

Up to maybe 1 1/2 yrs ago,all ati drivers & driver/software packages ran on
all
hardware once you catogorized the entry..Before the change(s),youre options
would be.Radeon/XP/then bundled or seperate downloads..

Also,go to advanced search,use the 737- Search & type:20767 Or:22569
One gets you old control-panel 1 1/2 yrs old but also can/will get you past
drivers/software That the menu now no longer gives....

Please use, 'Plain Speak', as I have no idea what the (2) posts are talking
about.

SOLUTION: After more than a year I can FINALLY view 'News Vidos' that use a
Windows system media player. Prior, only sites that used theres could I
load/view. I went to cnet.com - Downloads - Freeware - 'Advanced WindowsCare'
that is a free software program which Repairs Registry Files. It Works!

But I still have random occasional lock-ups AND be careful when using this
product as it does have side-effects. eg. I had (following the registry-fix)
much difficulty in opening applications in the control panel and some other
minor issues which I believe were caused by 'Advanced WindowsCare.'

Use with caution and only if you are desperate!
