Hi
still the same Problems with this ATI Card.
Error Code 43
Also the latest Driver RTM/5744 from Ati is not working.

John

Hi John,

So the card is ok, that means a driver issue or conflict. Is this install an
upgrade or clean build? How much system ram is there? Did this occur in
previous builds? How about a different, older driver set? Any resource
conflicts showing in system information?

Be aware that you may be stuck waiting until RTM for it to work correctly?

if you have an AMD X2 , and an ATI Video Card, you may find after
installing Vista the driver will not load (Code 43 in Device Manager). A
workaround is to download a freeware utility called EasyBCD to force Vista
to
use ONE CPU.

After this change your video drivers will load.

I thought that the AMD one CPU affinity problem for the MCE receiver process
was unique to MCE2005 and was long a go solved by the AMD drivers which were
updated in May or June of 2005 and which were incoporated in one of the
;ater MCE 2005 rollup updates and which were ialso ncorporated therfore into
Vista. If this solution does in fact solve your problem I certainly would
like to know

Using RC2, and this solved my problem.

Hi biggdave

with VisatBootPro it works, but i don't have Aero.
I choose only 1 CPU for Vista.
Do you know how to enable Aero now?

John

When I went to one cpu, aero worked automaticly. After you install the
drivers for the card, run perormance index again.
