ATI TV Wonder VE & stream.sys

I have an ATI TV wonder VE and Windows XP on a hyperthreading P4. The
card locks very frequently. The KB article at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;817589 states
there is a fix but does not tell what it is. Can someone point me in
the direction of the fix please?

If you find out let me know. I have an ati 9700 pro card
in the same set up. Im using the gigabyte mother board g
8inxp and p4-3.06 proc. with dual 512 ddr mem. I have
updated the dual bios and have tried all the ati drivers.
Still my card reverts back to min. resolution and i have
to reboot. You won't get any help from ati unless you can
call 900 numbers.
