Hi
I have an "All in wonder pro" TV/video card that worked ok under Windows
2000 until I used Windows update to get my machine reasonably secure
with all the latest fixes. Now the TV bit refuses to configure again
having lost all the previous station settings. The button to autoscan
is greyed out when aerial input is selected.
To track down the problem I upgraded an almost identical machine in the
same way and to the same degree. The TV card still worked !!.
Identical motherboard, Windows 2000, SP4 and same fix level. The only
difference I can see is the Direct X level, 8.1 on the working machine
and 9.0b on the non working machine.
I remember 9.0b being applied as part of what I did but it wasn't
prompted on the other machine.
Does anyone have any advice regarding lowering the Direct X level on the
non working machine or is this not possible without reinstalling Windows
2000 ?
Thanks
Dave
