ATI Scrolling / Window Dragging issue...

Anthony

I just updated to 3.10 cat drivers with a Radeon 7000 (I know it's an older
card) and now when I drag windows and scroll in IE for example the updates
to the screen are a lot slower... scrolling and window dragging are the
easiest way for me to see this problem. Initial screen draws seem to be
very fast, I've tried many different Hertz settings 60/85 etc.. I have a CRT
Monitor and many different color depths / resolutions and on all of them the
scrolling is slow.

This is a new problem since the upgrade. (Why oh why did I do it)... I am
unsure what drivers I've orginally had but I've rolled back several versions
and this problem still exists for each and every one I install. (I even
went back to the 9/03/03 release of the drivers and I still have the same
problem. So, now I put back on the 3.10 and will live with this terrible
problem until someone can tell me what I can do to fix this. I also have
directx 9.0b. and haven't changed this.

Please help me with a fix for this problem. Let me know what information I
can provide you with.

On a related question... are there any firmware updates for this video card
available? Maybe that will do it....

Let me know. Thank you.

Actually using your post as a reminder I saw that ATI Provides their own
cleaner.. I used that and installed 3.10 and Viola! It worked like a champ
again.

Thank you very much.

I guess their 'uninstall' isn't the greatest..

Cool. I prefer DC, personally.
