I have heard of a few problems with some games on the Ati Radeom 9600
Pro Video card. But I'm not sure of the G- Force line that is about
the same quality and price. Thanks!

There are plenty of comparison articles on this. Try the Maximum PC web site, they are nuts about comparing video boards for game use. Right now, the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is probably the best, if you have 400 bucks or so to spend and a fast enough CPU to not be the bottleneck.

Also try www.tomshardware.com and www.anandtech.com

I for one bought the 9600Pro from ATI and will never look
back. That was done after about 3 weeks of research. If
the Pro is in your price range, go for it. Stay away from
PowerColour, that's all. Otherwise the Nvidia 5700 prices
similiar to the ATI 9600XT, with performance as well.
DirectX9 games performs better on the ATI cards. Plus on
the new ATI cards you get the HalfLife2 token. Don't even
think of the Nvidia 5600.

the geforcefx 5200 is utter crap. even a geforcemx is
better than that.

the ati 9600's and up have a few problems with some games,
but overall they perform better on most games. the
nvidia's have their problems, too, though. right now, i
would say that the ati cards (at given prices) are the
better way to go; nvidia's FX architecture has some issues
with pixel shading, big issues.

Hi, sorry but I think you'll find that it's down to drivers that cause game
problems not the cards themselves, that goes for both NVidia and ATI cards.
However, at the moment, the midpriced one to go for is a 9600pro or XT. If
you've the money then you can't go wrong with a 9800Pro. But, but, if you
are silly, like me, then the 9800XT, at around £400, is the ultimate
card......
