ATI Radeon came with wrong serial numbers for bundled software

I just got my ati radeon from Newegg. The Redline tweaking software and the
game Splinter Cell that was bundled with the graphics card would not go past
the install screen that asked me for the key (serial number). I enter them
in, hit Next, and then the screen pops back up again as though I entered the
wrong key, which I have not.

I used the support form on the ati website, and the two replies that have
come thus far were no help at all. They did not even attempt to answer the
my question.

Has anyone ever had this happen?

I'd imagine your issue might be more likely handled in a
gaming group, though you might check the user feedback on
that card at Newegg, see if any of them mentioned this.

I suppose you're certain the key you're using is the correct
one for this game? Was it on an sticker outside of a sealed
envelope? Was it made by ATI or a 3rd party? You might
shoot an email to that manufacturer and/or call them.

Also, if getting this game working is central to whether you
want to keep the video card, be sure to file an RMA with
Newegg before your newegg return-period is over.

ATI brands their own adapters and as you also probably know ATI licenses
their products to OEMs who may alter the design for some reason. ATI may not
want to support OEM products 100%. As I recall, ATI has a web page that can
help customers determine if the serial number indicates the product was
licensed to OEM or if it is original equipment sold by ATI.

This sh!t is very confusing as the ATI logo is on all of the product
packaging anyway. That's all I can say.

How long have you waited for a reply? Most companies usually take 3-4
business days to answer emails. That's business days. Saturday and
Sunday usually don't count. If it hasn't been that long, then keep
waiting. It's not an instantaneous process.

If you want to get an answer faster, you can call up their support
line. It usually involves long distance charges and a hold of 10-15
minutes though.

In the meantime, you could try again, swapping the zeros for O and
ones for L or I. On most newer games, the publishers have smartened
up enough to avoid those particular characters for their keys, but it
still comes up occasionally.

It also could be that you're entering the wrong number. More than
once, especially with bundled software, some genius in the company
puts a stock code on the same sticker as the key code. Sometimes,
it's hard to tell if it's part of the key code or not unless the
instructions actually tell you the format of the key code (then you
can figure out which characters to ignore).

In one case, it turned out that the serial key was printed on the CD
itself. There was a number on the CD sleeve, so I was entering that
number and swearing at it a while. I finally saw the serial when I
got fed up and popped out the CD. Apparently someone at MSI has a
sadistic streak, because by the time you need the serial number,
you've already put the disc in the drive, where you can't see it.

Redline I wouldnt worry about - there are better tweaking programs available
free. If you want one try "ATI Tray Tools" (Google for it).
As for Splinter Cell - pretty old game but decent. Have you tried the usual
? Swapping Os and Zeros? Uppercase and lowercase?
Just checked my copy of Splinter Cell - it doesnt have a CD Key on the case
or manual nor does Pandora Tomorrow. Maybe you mean Chaos Theory?
