ATI - RADEON 9600SE 128MB vs NVIDIA ti400

Can somebody give me a comparison between the two? I have a ti4400 but
there is a pretty good deal locally on an ATI 9600SE. Can somebody give me
any advice on whether or not I should switch? Thanks in advance.

stick with the ti4400, the 9600se is lacking in speed compared to a standard
9600, let along a pro or xt. Your existing card will probably be faster than
the se

forget the 9600se, it's a lot slower than the normal 9600(pro,xt),
mostly due to the 64 bit memory bus.
 
One thing to bear in mind with the 9600, it doesn't have a DVI connection.
ATI chose to give it some wierd lookin thang.

9600se = crappy performance like an fx5200.

You'd need a 9600xt for a small upgrade... a $200~230 ATI9800 would be
more worthwhile.
 
One thing to bear in mind with the 9600, it doesn't have a DVI connection.
ATI chose to give it some wierd lookin thang.

Not correct. 9600se by ATi do have DVI connectors. Some versions by
other venders may not have the DVI.

My ATI 9600 Pro has a DVI connection...

ATI AIW Radeon doesn't. I just returned one and bought a 9800 AIW because
of it. But you are correct, my wife's 9600se does have it. Thank you for
clarifying my comment.
