hi all,
My monitors are turning themselves off, after windows starts. The
problem is not with the monitors, because I get a signal from them
during boot up, and can see the boot up process going on, on the
screen. Once windows starts its thing, they turn off.
At first, it was just the left monitor. I added and IDE card so I
could connect my DVD burner to the motherboard. After that
the left monitor started doing this.
Then I took out the firewire card and put in a USB card. To do this,
I had to take the graphics card out, install the USB card, then
re-install the graphics card.
Now both monitors are doing it, and the graphics on the right monitor
are all screwed-up looking, until it turns itself off.
I had previously tried to set the refresh rate to 75 Mhz on the left
monitor, before what happened today, but for some reason windows
would not do it. It kept the settings on the highest resolution
too.
Does it sound like my graphics card is dying?
