In what way are they "not good?" The catalyst drivers on the ATI
site should work just fine with the Radeon 9200.

There's also the Omega drivers at:

http://www.omegadrivers.net/

However, the core drivers are going to be the same, the only
difference is in the supporting utilities, the default configuration
settings, and the installer. Mostly, the Omega drivers give you more
tweaking options and a little lighter process overhead, but that's
about it. As I said, the core drivers are still from ATI.

If your problem is in getting certain shader features to work, or with
poor 3D graphics performance, be aware that the 9200 is an extremely
low end card, and doesn't support programmable shaders (ie. roughly
compliant with what's available to directX 8.1 -- ?Shaders 1.4?). Even
running the most basic of shader effects are going to be pretty taxing
on that card.

Hi Harry, to me, saying that the ati website drivers are not good is a
bit strange. When people say "solid and reliable" and not from ati,
they probably mean the Omega drivers, but as fine as they are they are
modified ati drivers, not the holy grail. It isn't as though ati make
horrendous drivers for their own hardware (leaving to one side opinions
over the catalyst control centre running under .NET). Sorry, I get a
bit tetsy about statements like that. What is the point of saying these
things in a blanket form? I get just as annoyed in reverse, when
companies like Google say that Google Earth shouldn't be run under the
Omega drivers, because they'll make it crash, that kind of thing. So
much bs gets spoken.
