Ati's advertising raves about the HDTV adaptor... at $49.95 - and seeing how
unuseable it is.. SAVE your Money.. there is massive overscan in all modes
on HDTV's so bad that you can't see the start menu, tool bar or any icons..
ATI is well aware of the problem but refuses to do anything about it.

Don't believe me: Do a google groups search for HDTV + aiw pages and pages
come up.

I tried to buy Canadian.. and look were it got me - with a very nice USeless
piece of Silicon.

Along with an AIW 9600XT.. useless piece of silicon also.. ATI's web site
states :
Drive an HDTV-ready Television using the optional VGA->YPrPb adapter
available from ati.com. Enable a non-interlaced high resolution display in
the family room.

Good Luck.. I can only see 60% of the screen - in any mode.

Would you be so kind as to tell me your setup.. TV -brand - Hdtv mode etc.

Sanyo PL-V70HT. Run it in any mode I please and don't have any problems.

But that's probably a bit more high-end than whatever you were using.

ROF,L. You might want to actually look up the model before you make such
comments.

Sanyo has been known, from the inception of the brand name, as a low end
electronics manufacturer. But i did take your advice and yes, i agree the
projector you have and in general the HDTV/TV division at Sanyo has
really taken it seriously in the electronics market. In general their vcr's ,
radios, analog Tv's have in the past been low end junk.
