I have an Asus 9200SE (ATI based) video card running under Windows 2000 Pro.
On the Asus site they have new video and control panel drivers. The only
instructions they provide is to uninstall all drivers before attempting an
update.
I've done that, but after the video driver install begins, I get the follow
error messages: INF error - Video driver not found. Setup was unable to
complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a
standard VGA driver before running setup.
After uninstalling my old ATI drivers, W2K boots up with standard VGA. What
gives? Either Asus has some flakey driver updates, or I'm missing
something. Any ideas? If I can't update, I'll resort to the drivers that
came with my card. TIA.
