ATi Catalyst Drivers: older versions?

Hi,

Having tried out the latest 5.7 Cat drivers, I'm not impressed with the
performance of them and want to go back to an older driver, i.e. 5.5 or 5.6.

Are these still available for download anywhere? Or can I just use the "Roll
Back Driver" button for my card in Device Manager?

You get get older drivers simply from the " previous drivers" section from
ATI's download drivers website.

Its there... On left hand panel:
1. Open Drivers and Software
2. Open Windows XP
3. Open RADEON
4. Open Previous Drivers and Software

There is 5.1 thru 5.7

http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html then scroll down on the left
hand side 'till you reach your OS, go a bit past that to your card
type (i.e. Radeon or All-InWonder/Radeon) and click on the 'Previous
Drivers and Software' link immediately under that. That's for Radeons
but drivers for older cards are there, too, if you look for them.

That'll list the fairly recent versions; for older drivers, click the
'Next' link at the bottom of the right hand section of the page, then
click the 'RADEON Previous Windows 2000 Drivers and Software versions
prior to CATALYST 5.1 / Multimedia Center 9.03' link.

Then just scroll down to the driver/software you want - there's plenty
to go round!

Yeah, if you go through the customer support link to the drivers it's
there but if you go through the drivers link, it's not, or vice versa.

Guru3d has lots of old drivers for various cards
