Having finished FEAR... brilliant and finished the 1st episode of Serious
Sam 2.... getting flipping annoying, I needed something to play and loaded
CFS3 which I hadn't given a fair go yet. But, the picture is veeeery jumpy
making it unplayable. I have so much faith in my ATI X1900XTX, I'm looking
suspiciously at the AMD64 X2 processor.

None of the ATI Control Centre, resolution and colour depth or in-game
settings make any difference when altered, neither does reducing sound
acceleration, un/re-installing, patching to v1.1, making Readme file
troubleshooting adjustments, kicking the dog or taking a smoke break and
hoping everything will be ok when I get back.

The game ran great on my previous ATI/Intel rig, does anyone know of any
CFS3 issues with ATI/AMD?

Have you tried setting it to use only 1 cpu/core? A quick search in google
groups should give an idea how to do that. If you don't already know, saving
you haven't mentioned trying that! NFS:MW needs to be set to 1 cpu or it
goes a bit funny, so I've heard.

ati is haveing issues with the latest drivers as far as with the x1900xtx
and x1900 crossfire so it may even effect the single card too! i would call
them thats what they told me about my crossfire system .so i rolled out my
older drivers that came on cd and all issues went away. hope this helps

Yup, that was it. Set the "affinity" to 1 core and problem went away.
Thanks. :)
