Nate

So for some time now I've been having the same trouble with my TV on
my AIW card. It used to be that once in a while I my computer would
restart whenever I would start the TV program, but as of late it's
gotten to be that every time I try to turn on the TV program the
computer restarts. I've tried installing new versions, old versions
but nothing seems to work. Then I realized that when I go to the
"Add/Remove Programs" window off of my control pannel it says that I
have two multimedia centers installed. One of them is the version
that I have installed and the other one doesn't have a version
assigned to it. So I figured that that was the problem. Thing is
though when I try to uninstall it it sends me an error message saying
that there was an "Error extracting support files: The system cannot
find the file specified" So I was wondering if anybody out there has
any idea how to uninstall the old version of MMC that seems to be
stuck on my computer... or, if I'm mistaken as to the reason that my
computer keeps on crashing, how can I fix the problem?

Thanks

It sounds like remnants of the old MMC are still lurking about. I would
uninstall the new MMC, then use Driver Cleaner 2.0, and use the MMC
cleaning utility to wipe any thing that might be left over. Also check
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATI Technologies\Multimedia and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ATI Technologies and delete those key
branches. Reinstall MMC and I'll bet you'll be good to go.
