ATI AIW 8500DV and DV captures

Pigs on the Wing Productions

I have a AIW 8500DV and a Datavision DAC100 DV convertor. The DAC100
connects via firewire and converts analog video to DV. When I try to
use the ATI 8500DV firewire port, the computer sees the device but I
do not get picture and sound. If I use the firewire port on my Audigy
2 Platinum, no problem. Any ideas on why the 8500DV firewire port
won't work? I used Premeir for the captures.

ATI uses a wierd way to run the firewire over the AGP bus, lottsa MB's
cant handle this.
known isssue.
