ATI 9800xt can't get AGP mode to won't?

Just got a new PC with ASUS P4P8X mobo. & radeon 9800xt video card, it came
with old drivers, & when I look at the smartgart properties it was showing
only 4x agp... tried various metods of setting to AGP 8x.... with no
success... so I uninstalled the old drivers as per instructions & installed
new 4.10 drivers... now I can't get AGP at all!!!!..... please help someone!

Try updating the motherboard drivers.
