As long as its AGP 2x, it should work. AGP 4x is fine in performance.

i am asking for the actual slot compatibility i think that the 9600 wont fit
in thw agp slot of my motherboard because it doesnt have tha extra cut in
the card towards the connection side

old motherboards? HOW old!

You mean BX 440 period, ah... why stick a 9600 Pro on that kind of
motherboard, as the processor and fsb are to weak anyway to feed the
graphic card.

Anyhow, you can also contact the sales departement from the "makers"
of cards. Just find their email address at their webpage :-)

Excuse me...

But exactly HOW MUCH INFORMATION DID YOU PROVIDE?!

NONE!

OLD? 4month? 4 years?

Tell us what you have, and perhaps someone can give you an answer.

If you have the OLD OLD AGP slot, then I guess it won't fit... its
beyond spec for a modern video card. Locate a Voodoo3 card or GF2
series.

True enough...really old AGP spec 1.0 motherboards only support 3.3V cards,
and newer AGP spec 2.0 (or later) cards require 1.5V (hence the slight
change in slot structure).
